IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE IN BREAKING THE LAW.
Having Fl Statute 720 posted on this website is a great idea -- our board members can read them and hopefully start following them. I checked with a lawyer and they are not just suggestions, THEY ARE THE LAW.
SIA is incorporated and as such protects board members as long as they are following the law. In many cases I don't believe they are and are therefore (as I understand it) not protected by the corporation.
